How to Get Rid of Acne Naturally

It can be hard to find a good remedy for acne. From face washes to instant zit remover to face masks, there are so many products out there that try to accomplish this impossible task. I currently use natural products such as Burt Bees face wash and scrubs, but nothing seems to do the trick. I decided to do some research on Apple Cider Vinegar for Acne!

My mother-in-law once mentioned to me how well apple cider vinegar is for acne. I already knew that there are many uses for apple cider vinegar, such as wart removal (my hubby is currently trying this for his pinky wart) and digestion but never thought about putting it on my skin. However, my acne on my forehead has increasing gotten worse from stress and my constant need to touch my face so I decided to give the apple cider vinegar a shot. I am so happy that I did. I have been using it for only a week and my skin is already clearing up tremendously.

Why Apple Cider Vinegar works

ACV has many healing components such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties which aid in clearing up acne. mixing raw, unfiltered ACV, with filtered or distilled water and applying it to your face as an acne treatment will help in stopping new pimples from forming and balance your skin’s pH level. The Top Ten Remedies website lists many other beneficial components of ACV.

How to use Apple Cider Vinegar to clear up acne?

First, make sure you have raw Apple Cider Vinegar and the one “With the Mother.” Have a cotton swab handy and maybe a wash cloth. Shake the ACV a few times then pour a little into a small dish or onto your cotton swab. This step depends on your sensitivity of your skin.

1 Tablespoon of ACV
1 Tablespoon of Water
Mix well together, then dip cotton ball in mixture

Next, rub the ACV coated cotton swab onto your acne spots. I like to dab my entire forehead. Then, splash your face with water. There is no need to wash off the ACV completely but sometimes I like a quick splash of water to rinse any excess off. If your skin is extra sensitive, it might be better to rinse off the mixture completely after you let it sit for about 5-10 minutes.

It is helpful if you repeat the process for at least a week to see the benefits. I love the way my skin is clearing up and I am going to continue to use ACV instead of my face wash for many reasons.
